Hawthorne Cottage Caravan & Motorhome Site

Clements End,

Coleford,

Gloucestershire.

GL16 8LN

Hawthorne cottage caravan and motorhome site is a small tranquil adult only site located in the heart of the Forest of Dean. The site and its facilities are meticulously maintained and clean. Bev who runs the the site seems to have limitless energy and is always on the go and yet still finds time to stop and chat. Incredibly helpful, nothing is to much trouble. There are a seemingly endless number of walking and cycling routes through the forest and close by are a number of interesting places to visit, including Puzzle Wood and the village of Parkend where in the summer you can book to take a steam train into Lydney and back.

My husband and I had 5 nights at this absolutely gorgeous campsite, beautiful setting, peaceful,it’s the nicest site we have been to. Such a lovely lady and her husband who runs it. Absolutely spotless toilets and shower. We will be definitely be back very soon. Thank you x

We stayed there for 4 nights last week. A very friendly site with simple amenities. The toilets and shower were cleaned a number of times each day and there were hand sanitizer sites all around. A great experience and a campsite set in a lovely location right in the forest. Bev and Mark were great hosts who went out of their way to help us find some fun stuff to do. We aim to be back very soon
We stayed at Hawthorne Cottage caravan site for 5 nights at the beginning of February, could have stayed longer! Great site of 10 well spaced out pitches. Set in a very peaceful location on the edge of the Forest of Dean. John the owner is very hospitable and friendly and makes you feel most welcome. Facilities are adequate with two toilets and one shower. There are numerous walks from the site, through the forest and old railway tracks, great for both walking and cycling. A short drive will take you to beautiful Monmouth with an array of shops and cafes. Also close by is Symonds Yat with a magnificent viewing platform overlooking the picturesque Wye valley and again plentiful walking trails to discover here too. We loved it that much we have booked up to revisit in August.

We enjoyed our one week stay at this quiet, rural site which is alongside part of the Forest of Dean from which you can enjoy walks in the forest without needing to drive at all. There is a unisex shower and a male and female toilet all of which are kept clean and regularly maintained. A grey water and chemical toilet waste disposal point is adjacent to the toilet / shower block. There is also a small hut for recycling as well as for local information. There are hook up points and satellite TV connectivity available to the pitches. Bev the site manager is particularly helpful.

Lovely small and peaceful site, beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. Bev was extremely helpful and welcoming. Sat and watched the buzzards in the trees. Great cycling and walking routes. Would highly recommend and will be back. Bel and Owen
